## Fibreglass trailers, cabovers and cabins built for New Zealand conditions

Trailer Storage Box Hamilton

Work and Play NZ is a Hamilton-based fibreglass trailer company creating slide-on cabovers, trailers and helicopter fly-in huts for both commercial and recreational use. Owner Rob McLean brings over 30 years of experience building boats and campers in fibreglass, so every product is designed to handle the country's unique terrain — from farm tracks and remote back-country blocks to long stretches of open road. Because each unit is lightweight, hard-wearing and easy to clean, owners spend less on fuel and maintenance and more time getting on with the job or the trip. Everything is sold, designed and built in New Zealand, and delivered to customers from Northland to Southland.

Whatever the task or the adventure, there is a purpose-built option to suit. Slide-on campers fit both wellside and flat-deck utes, sliding on and off so the same vehicle can carry tools during the week and become a comfortable sleeping space at the weekend. The Stopover range of towable camping trailers runs from the compact 200 to the roomy 430, ideal for camping, fishing or exploring. Tradesmen's work trailers keep tools secure, organised and easy to transport, with sleeping options available for staying on site. There are also enclosed motorcycle trailers that safely carry up to two bikes, complete with a roof-mounted camping bed, built-in toilet and sports gear storage; fibreglass food trailers and camp kitchens fitted with fridge space, a BBQ area and a built-in sink; and trailer storage boxes that double as smart, secure animal housing or builders' storage.

For those needing accommodation in hard-to-reach places, the portable cabins and innovative Heli-Huts offer transportable solutions that can be flown in by helicopter and customised with insulation, solar power and beds — perfect for hunting blocks, remote camps or extra room at home. As custom trailer builders, the team will tailor size, layout and features around specific requirements rather than asking customers to settle for something close enough. The workshop is at 127 Colombo St, Frankton, Hamilton, open Monday to Thursday 7am–5pm and Friday 6am–3pm. Call 07 245 1376 or send a message through the website, and Work and Play NZ will be in touch within 24 hours to talk through the options.
